| 备注 |
W.R. Johnston & W.H. Bacon Ltd. handled the printing of Scottish banknotes for several of the major Edinburgh banks during the mid-twentieth century, but their work for the Royal Bank in this period represents one of the quieter stretches in the note's long history — no major redesigns, no currency crises, just steady replacement printing across nearly a decade of postwar stability.
Ballantyne's tenure as General Manager ran from the early 1950s, and his signature appears across the full span of this issue. Notes dated toward the end of the range, 1963–1964, often show heavier circulation wear owing to the sharply increased consumer spending of that period.
