| 备注 |
St. Clement's Parish Bank was one of the small Jersey parish banks operating in the nineteenth century, issuing notes backed by local landowner guarantees rather than any formal banking charter. These institutions occupied a legal grey area — Jersey's constitutional separation from the English banking system meant the Bank Charter Act of 1844 never applied, leaving parish-level note issue technically permissible long after it had been stamped out on the mainland.
JN#185 is among the rarer entries in the Jersey notes corpus. Documentation on St. Clement's is thin compared to the larger St. Helier issuers, and surviving examples are few.
