| 正面描述 | The obverse is framed by an ornate guilloche border with floral corner devices. At centre, a vignette of the Provincial Bank of Ireland building in Belfast is flanked by two circular ONE medallions with fine lathe-work underprint. A large green intaglio £1 cipher dominates the lower centre field, overlaid on the promise-to-pay text, with serial numbers printed in black at left and right. |

| 备注 |
The Provincial Bank of Ireland was established in 1825 by a Westminster act specifically designed to break the Bank of Ireland's near-monopoly on joint-stock banking outside Dublin. It built a branch network across the island unusually quickly for the period, and by the time this series was issued, the bank was operating with equal authority on both sides of the border created in 1921 — a pragmatic cross-jurisdictional arrangement that few institutions managed to sustain without restructuring.
The Robertson-signed dates of 06.05.1929 and 01.08.1930 appearing unlisted in standard catalogs is worth noting for any serious specialist. Unlisted signatures frequently surface from single hoards or surviving cashier records, and their omission from Pick likely reflects documentation gaps rather than genuine rarity — though that distinction matters when pricing.
