| 正面描述 | Intaglio portrait of a young boy at right, set against a fine guilloche underprint in green and brown tones. The central field carries the bank's promise-to-pay text superimposed over a county arms vignette, with six heraldic shields of Ulster counties — Tyrone, Antrim, Down, Londonderry, Armagh, and Fermanagh — arranged in a horizontal band along the lower margin. The denomination '£1' appears in large numerals at lower left, with the serial number and Allied Irish Banks insignia positioned at upper left. |

| 备注 |
The Provincial Bank of Ireland Limited was absorbed into Allied Irish Banks in 1966, but continued issuing notes under its own name for over a decade afterward — a commercial banking arrangement that persisted well into the decimal era. By 1977, the institution had no independent existence in any meaningful operational sense, yet its name remained on the paper.
De La Rue's production for Irish commercial banks during this period is well-documented, and the security specification here is minimal — watermark only, no thread. The series ended when Allied Irish Banks finally consolidated its note-issuing subsidiaries under unified branding in 1979.
