Additional information

The Isle of Stroma is an uninhabited Scottish island in the Pentland Firth with no mint, no issuing authority, and no legal tender framework — making this piece a private fantasy issue rather than a coin in any recognized numismatic sense. The Ocicat, a domestic breed developed in the 1960s from Abyssinian and Siamese crossings, has no particular connection to Stroma. Collectors should note that dozens of similar "issues" attributed to Stroma circulate in the novelty market, all produced by the same commercial operators exploiting the island's obscurity.
