| 背面描述 | The reverse depicts a panoramic cityscape of Egypt's New Administrative Capital, featuring modern governmental and civic buildings rendered in stylised relief, with a prominent solar disc rising above the skyline at upper centre. Broad avenues and urban infrastructure are shown in the foreground, conveying a sense of planned metropolitan grandeur. The Arabic legend 'العاصمة مصر' (The Capital Egypt) arcs above the cityscape, while the Arabic inscription 'مصر' (Egypt) appears below in the exergue. The design celebrates the founding of Egypt's new capital city as a symbol of national modernisation and ambition. |

Egypt's new administrative capital — under construction east of Cairo since 2015 — was the impetus for this issue, which commemorates one of the most ambitious urban development projects in modern Egyptian history. Funded partly through Emirati investment and managed by a military-linked development authority, the project was announced by President el-Sisi largely as a way to reduce pressure on an overcrowded Cairo.
The KM#1041 bimetallic format had been Egypt's standard pound construction since the mid-2000s reform.
