| Obverse description | The obverse is dominated by Arabic inscriptions arranged across the field without a central effigy. The country name legend جمهورية مصر العربية (Arab Republic of Egypt) curves along the upper portion of the coin. At centre, the denomination ١ جنيه (1 Pound) is prominently displayed, flanked by the dual dating ١٤٤٠ هـ (AH 1440) to the right and ٢٠١٩ (AD 2019) to the left. Along the lower arc of the field, the commemorative inscription ١٥٠ عاما على إنشاء كلية الحقوق (150 Years on the Establishment of the Faculty of Law) is inscribed. A reeded border frames the entire design. |
