| Описание реверса | The reverse presents a faithful recreation of William Wyon's celebrated Three Graces design, depicting three classically draped female figures standing en groupe and joined at the hands in a pose of unity. The left figure, representing Ireland, stands beside a harp; the central figure, representing England, rests one foot upon a wheel; and the right figure, representing Scotland, is accompanied by a thistle in the lower right field. A crossed leek and a bugle horn appear in the exergue below. The East India Company monogram EIC is inscribed to the left of the group, with the engraver's signature W. WYON. below it, and the Latin motto FOEDUS INVIOLABILE arcs across the field, divided left and right of the composition. A beaded border frames the entire design. |
