Aanvullende informatie

Alderney's gold issues from this period were produced by the Pobjoy Mint under license, functioning primarily as collector pieces with no meaningful circulation history. Newton's connection to coinage is legitimate — he served as Warden and later Master of the Royal Mint from 1696 until his death in 1727, overseeing the Great Recoinage and prosecuting counterfeiters with unusual personal vigor.
