Obverse description At left, an intaglio portrait of Queen Elizabeth II in three-quarter view is set against a pink guilloche underprint, with the Jamaican coat of arms vignette positioned at lower centre. The denomination ONE POUND appears in large intaglio numerals and text at centre, flanked by green serial numbers at upper right and lower left. The Governor's signature is printed at lower right, with the printer's imprint along the bottom margin.

Reverse description The central vignette, rendered in green intaglio line engraving, illustrates an agricultural scene with a tractor hauling a loaded wagon through a sugarcane field. The denomination is repeated in letterpress at the lower left and lower right.
