Reverse description A fully-rigged three-masted clipper ship under sail, depicted in fine relief riding the open seas with all sails set, identified as the Percy Douglas of 1861. The vessel is shown in three-quarter view with detailed rigging and billowing sails. The name 'PERCY DOUGLAS' and the date '1861' appear in an inscription within the lower portion of the central design. The legend 'BAILIWICK OF JERSEY' arcs across the upper field, while 'ONE POUND' appears along the lower periphery, all within a beaded border.
