Aanvullende informatie

Jersey's 1992 pound gold proof belongs to a series commemorating historic ships associated with the island's maritime trade. The Hebe was a Swiss-built brig captured by the Royal Navy in 1809 and subsequently used as a packet vessel; the Hebe name recurs across British naval history often enough to create catalog confusion, but this issue refers specifically to Jersey's own mercantile and postal connection to the vessel type.

Struck by the Royal Mint on behalf of the States of Jersey, the proof run was limited and intended primarily for collectors rather than circulation.
