Radiating sunrays emanate from behind the figure, while stylised waves fill the background to the right, evoking Britannia's dominion over the seas. The design is framed by a beaded inner border, with the legend BRITANNIA arching across the upper field, flanked by the fineness inscription 1/20oz 999.9 and FINE GOLD to the left and right respectively, and the date 2022 prominently displayed in the lower exergue. The engraver's initials DT appear incuse near the base of the figure. |
