Below the central device, the dual dates AH 1410 and AD 1989 are inscribed in Eastern Arabic numerals, flanking the tughra to the right and left respectively. The .875 fineness is the traditional Egyptian karat standard, consistent across the country's commemorative gold output since the Nasser-era issues.
