| 备注 |
Dumbell's Banking Company was the Isle of Man's dominant private bank through the late nineteenth century, and its collapse in February 1900 was one of the most catastrophic financial failures in the island's history. The bank shut its doors suddenly, wiping out the savings of a significant portion of the Manx population and triggering a parliamentary crisis that ultimately led to tighter controls on banking on the island.
Notes from this series were issued across the final decade before that failure. Any surviving example almost certainly never completed a normal redemption cycle — the bank's closure made that impossible for many holders.
