| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse is printed in a finely engraved intaglio design centred on a large guilloche medallion encircled by the legend 'DOUGLAS, ISLE OF MAN' and 'DUMBELL, SON & HOWARD', with the Manx triskelion arms at its core. Flanking the central medallion are two circular vignettes, each containing a detailed engraved view of a coastal castle — a ruined clifftop fortification to the left and a harbour castle with small boats to the right — all set within an elaborate scrolling foliate border. The printer's imprint 'W. & A. K. Johnston Edinburgh' appears in small type at the lower centre. |
