| Beschrijving keerzijde | Facing bust of Georgi Zidan (Jurji Zaidan), the prominent Lebanese-Egyptian writer and founder of Dar Al Hilal publishing house, rendered in high relief with characteristic moustache and period formal attire including a bow tie and lapelled jacket. The portrait is centrally positioned within a plain field and surrounded by a beaded inner border. No additional legend appears on this face, the design emphasizing the commemorated subject's dignified effigy in a realist engraving style. |

| Aanvullende informatie |
Georgi Zidan (1861–1914) was a Lebanese-Egyptian intellectual whose publishing house, Dar Al Hilal, became one of the Arab world's most influential media institutions after its founding in Cairo in 1892. This coin was issued to mark the centenary of that founding. Zidan remains a contested figure in Arab cultural history — admired by secularists for his historical novels and encyclopedic output, criticized by religious conservatives for his rationalist approach to Islamic history.
