| 正面描述 | Uncrowned effigy of King Charles III facing left occupies the central field, struck in the bimetallic centre. The circular legend around the rim reads '2023 • CHARLES III • FALKLAND ISLANDS •', with the denomination 'ONE POUND' appearing as incuse micro-lettering repeated twelve times around the dodecagonal edge. The Pobjoy Mint privy mark 'PM' appears within the design, accompanied by a latent image security feature at the lower portion of the field alternately displaying '1' and '£' depending on the viewing angle. |

The Falkland Islands pound has been pegged at parity with sterling since its introduction in 1983, but the islands' coinage is issued entirely independently of the Royal Mint and circulates only locally — sterling is accepted on the islands, but Falklands pounds do not travel in return. This 2023 issue is among the first to carry Charles III's effigy following his accession in September 2022, making the transition coinage a narrow documentary window into the changeover year.
