| 背面描述 | The Bank of Ireland building occupies the centre of the design, flanked to the left by a vignette of an aeroplane and textile rolls, and to the right by thread rolls and the SS Canberra, together evoking the commercial and industrial heritage of Northern Ireland. The composition is set within a fine guilloche border with decorative underprint in muted tones. |

| 备注 |
Bank of Ireland issued this series under the provisions of the Bankers (Northern Ireland) Act 1928, which required note-issuing commercial banks in Northern Ireland to back their circulation with a combination of Bank of England notes and authorized securities. The arrangement made Northern Irish commercial bank notes an unusual hybrid — legal tender within no jurisdiction, yet widely accepted and practically indispensable in daily commerce north of the border.
Printed by Belfast Banking Company's successor infrastructure, this note circulated alongside identical denominations from four other authorized issuers, creating a patchwork of £1 notes that confused visitors but barely registered with locals.
