| 备注 |
The Bank of Ireland's 1 Pound note of 1922 was issued at an acute moment of institutional uncertainty. The Irish Free State had just come into existence in December 1921, but the Bank of Ireland — a private joint-stock institution chartered under British authority in 1783 — continued issuing notes under its existing legal authority rather than any new mandate. The Currency Act of 1927 would eventually end that arrangement, making this series one of the last issued before the Irish pound and the Currency Commission superseded the old note-issuing banks entirely.
The printing attribution to "Barclays Ireland" reflects an internal arrangement at the College Green premises, not a separate commercial printer.
