Reverse description Central field displays the crowned royal arms of Spain in the pillar-and-waves (columnario) style of the host coin, flanked by the assayer initial J and the mint mark PN (Popayan) below. The surrounding Latin legend reads NOMINA MAGNA SEQUOR. A second application of the Jamaican GR crowned counterstamp is visible at the center of the design, struck over the royal arms, confirming the coin's authorization for colonial Jamaican currency.
