Obverse description The obverse carries a right-facing portrait of Queen Elizabeth II in intaglio at the right, set against a multicolour guilloche underprint with pastel tones of green, pink, and yellow. At upper left, a vignette of a falcon appears alongside the Jersey coat of arms shield bearing three lions passant, with the inscription JERSEY C.I. below. The central text reads PROMISE TO PAY THE BEARER / One Pound / ON DEMAND, with the facsimile signature of the Treasurer of the States and denomination numerals £1 repeated in the lower corners.

Reverse description The reverse is dominated by a finely engraved vignette of St. Helier Parish Church rendered in green intaglio, occupying the central field against a light guilloche background. The inscription ST. HELIER PARISH CHURCH appears below the vignette, flanked by circular ornamental medallions in the lower corners. The header reads STATES of JERSEY in serif lettering, with £1 denomination numerals at upper left and right, and the printer's imprint THOMAS DE LA RUE AND COMPANY LIMITED at lower left.
