Reverse description Executed in olive-green intaglio, the reverse is dominated by a central vignette of a grand neoclassical bank building with arched ground-floor windows and a columned upper facade, set within radiating guilloche patterns. Large ornate pound sterling symbols occupy the left and right fields, each framed by lozenge-shaped geometric motifs. The printer's imprint THOMAS DE LA RUE & COMPANY, LIMITED appears in small lettering at the lower right margin.
