Descrizione del rovescio	A large intaglio vignette occupies the central field, showing three agricultural workers harvesting cotton by hand amid dense cotton plants in full bloom, rendered in fine line engraving on a pale green ground. A bold boxed denomination panel reading ONE POUND is centred below the vignette. The upper border carries a decorative frieze with £1 devices at either side, and the issuing bank name runs in letterpress along the lower margin.
