| Obverse description | Pink and green note with an intaglio portrait of King George VI in military dress uniform at right, set within a circular guilloche vignette. The Fijian coat of arms, supported by two indigenous figures, occupies the upper centre, above the bold letterpress inscription GOVERNMENT OF FIJI and the denomination ONE POUND. A large circular watermark space appears at left, surrounded by intricate lathe-work guilloche underprint, with the serial number and three manuscript signatures of the Commissioners of Currency at lower centre, alongside the date. |

| Reverse description | The reverse is executed in a multicolour lathe-work design composed entirely of elaborate guilloche patterns in shades of red, orange, green, gold, and pink, with no pictorial vignette. A central cartouche bearing the inscription GOVERNMENT OF FIJI in red letterpress is set within a dense field of fine-line wave guilloche, flanked symmetrically by ornamental lobe panels filled with geometric engine-turned latticework. A plain circular watermark panel is reserved at the right. |
