Beschrijving voorzijde	The obverse is printed in green and orange tones on a pale ground, with an intricate guilloche underprint carrying large numeral '1' medallions at left and right. The title 'Australian Note' appears in ornate script at the top, followed by the promise text 'The Treasurer of the Commonwealth of Australia promises to pay the Bearer One Pound in gold coin on demand at the Commonwealth Treasury at the seat of government.' The denomination 'One Pound' is set in large bold lettering at centre, flanked by the serial number repeated twice, with two manuscript signatures and printed titles below.
