Obverse description Draped bust of Frederick II (Frederick the Great) facing right, with flowing curled wig, the portrait dividing the circular Latin legend. The king is depicted in a military-style drape, rendered in a bold, slightly crude provincial style typical of Silesian mint output. The legend FRIDERICUS D G B R S SIL DVX (Frederick, by the Grace of God, King of Prussia and Duke of Silesia) runs along the outer rim.
