Below the eagle, the denomination legend POLTURA is inscribed in large characters, with the date 1744 beneath it, and the mintmaster's initials AE (for A. H. Ehlers) at the base. The entire design is enclosed within a beaded border. The composition is characteristic of the small Silesian billon coinage struck at the Breslau mint for circulation in Prussian Silesia. |
