| Obverse description | Central shield bearing the arms of Hungary — alternating horizontal stripes in the lower half and a patriarchal double cross rising from a triple mount in the upper half — surmounted by a large royal crown. The quartered shield is depicted in low relief with bold engraving characteristic of early 18th-century Hungarian emergency coinage. On some varieties, a pearl ring encircles the arms. The circular legend reads MONETA · NOVA · ARGEN · REG · HUNG around the periphery. |
