| Aanvullende informatie |
Issued to mark the fiftieth anniversary of Gagarin's Vostok 1 flight on April 12, 1961, this coin appeared during a broader Russian commemorative campaign that saturated the market with 2011-dated space anniversary pieces. The Moscow Mint produced poltinnik-denomination silver issues in relatively modest quantities compared to the larger-format commemoratives from the same program, making this one of the quieter entries in an otherwise loud anniversary year.
