Reverse description A bold long cross pattée occupying the full field, contained within a beaded inner circle. The arms of the cross extend to the inner circle, dividing the surrounding space into four quadrants. A Latin chronogram legend encircling the inner circle records the year of issue. The hammered fabric imparts an irregular, slightly concave surface typical of late fifteenth-century municipal Frisian coinage.
