Reverse description A patriarchal or forked cross with bifurcated upper arms occupies the central field, its vertical shaft and horizontal bar dividing the coin into four quarters and intersecting the raised inner circle. The cross extends to or near the inner beaded border, with the forked tips of the upper arm clearly visible above. Portions of the abbreviated legend PThA, referencing the title of Patriarch, appear in the quadrants formed by the cross arms. The design is simple and heraldic in character, consistent with the ecclesiastical authority of the Patriarchate of Aquileia.
