Reverse description Within a beaded inner circle, Saint Peter depicted standing facing, holding the keys of Heaven in his right hand and a book in his left. The figure is rendered in the schematic style typical of late 15th-century hammered papal coinage. The surrounding Latin legend, divided by the mintmaster's mark, identifies the saint and the issuing territory of the March of Ancona.
