Obverse description Elaborately engraved curved papal coat of arms of Innocent XI (Odescalchi), featuring a displayed eagle in chief and a lion passant in base over horizontal bars, flanked by scrolling acanthus mantling. Above the shield, the papal tiara is surmounted by crossed keys bound with a cord, symbolising pontifical authority.
