Obverse description Draped and caped bust of Pope Innocent XI facing right, wearing the papal camauro and richly embroidered mozetta, with fine flowing hair visible beneath the cap. The papal vestments are rendered in exceptional high relief with intricate foliate and figural decoration on the collar. The engraver's signature IO. HAMERANUS appears incuse along the lower rim. The Latin legend INNOCEN·XI·PONT·MAX·A·VIII encircles the effigy, separated by star-shaped stops, within a finely milled border.
