Obverse description Central field dominated by the elaborate papal coat of arms of Clement XI, featuring a tiara surmounting the shield flanked by the crossed keys of Saint Peter, the whole composition richly enveloped in baroque acanthus scrollwork and foliate ornaments. The shield itself displays the Albani family arms bearing a six-pointed star above three hills, rendered in high relief. Two crossed papal keys extend diagonally from the upper portion of the achievement. The circumferential legend reads CLEMENS XI P M AN XIII, separated by star stops, within a beaded inner border and a finely milled outer rim.
