Reverse description The enthroned Virgin Mary with the Christ Child seated at center, flanked on either side by a standing adoring angel, in a composition referencing the apse mosaic of the Basilica of Santa Maria in Trastevere, Rome. In the foreground, Pope Innocent II kneels in supplication before the throne, acknowledging his role as founder of the basilica. The engraver's initials P.P.B. appear on the lower base of the throne. The reverse legend arcs around the upper field, and the date 1702 is placed in the exergue.
