The surrounding legend reads CLEMENS X PONT MAX, separated by small stars, running clockwise along the inner border of a finely beaded outer rim. The engraving, attributed to Giovanni Hamerani, is executed in high relief in the Baroque style characteristic of the Roman mint under Clement X. |
