Obverse description Bare-headed, draped bust of Joseph Napoleon (Joseph Bonaparte, King of Naples) facing left, rendered in a neoclassical style by engraver Filippo Rega. The portrait displays finely detailed wavy hair and a truncated shoulder. The encircling Latin legend reads IOSEPH NAPOL . D. G. VTR . SICIL . REX, denoting his title as King of the Two Sicilies by the grace of God. The field is smooth and slightly concave, with a plain inner border separating the effigy from the peripheral inscription.
