| Obverse description | Central field features the elaborate crowned and mantled arms of the Archbishopric of Trier, rendered in a baroque decorative style. The shield displays the characteristic cross of Trier, surmounted by an ornate electoral bonnet or archbishop's crown. Foliate scrollwork and baroque cartouche elements fill the surrounding field. The overall design is characteristic of mid-18th century German ecclesiastical coinage. |
