| Obverse description | Standing figure of the Wild Man (Wilder Mann), the legendary sylvan giant of the Harz Mountains, depicted facing forward and holding a uprooted pine tree over his right shoulder as his traditional attribute. The figure is rendered in a naive, provincial style characteristic of Hanoverian copper coinage of the period. The engraver's initials I.B.H. appear in the lower field, attributing the die to Johann Benjamin Hecht. The plain field surrounds the boldly struck central device. |

| Reverse description | The reverse displays the denomination and monetary designation in five lines of bold capital lettering across the field, reading *I* / PFENNING / SCHEIDE / MVNTZ / followed by the four-digit date below. Two six-pointed rosette ornaments flank the numeral I in the uppermost line. The inscription, rendered in period German orthography, identifies the coin as a Scheidemünze (small change currency). The date below the legend records the year of issue, with the entire design contained within a plain raised rim. |
