Reverse description The denomination numeral I occupies the upper central field, flanked on either side by a small decorative cross or rosette ornament. Below, the inscription I PFENNING SCHEIDE MUNTZ is arranged in four horizontal lines across the field, with the date appearing at the bottom of the coin. The lettering is bold and deeply struck, filling the flan in the typographic style typical of small German Scheidemünze of the early 18th century.
