| Obverse description | Central field displays the crowned and ornate armorial shield of Mecklenburg, featuring the characteristic bull's head device of the duchy, rendered in the bold, slightly irregular style typical of early seventeenth-century hammered coinage. The shield is surrounded by elaborate decorative mantling or foliate ornament filling the field.
