| Reverse description | A bold cross divides the reverse field into four quarters, extending to the coin's periphery. Each of the four sections contains a portion of the divided circular legend in decorative uncial script, reading MA - GIS - LIV - ONI, an abbreviation for Magistri Livoniae (Master of Livonia), referencing Wolter von Plettenberg's authority. The arms of the cross are rendered in plain flat relief, while the legend segments fill the intervening spaces with characteristic Gothic uncial letterforms. The flan is irregular and slightly clipped at the edges, consistent with hammered production of this period. |
