| Obverse description | Central shield bearing a cross potent over a diapered or granulated field, representing the arms of the Livonian Order, surmounted by a small cross finial at the top of the shield. The shield is set within a beaded or plain inner circle, with a partial Latin legend running around the periphery of the coin in uncial characters. The overall strike is irregular, consistent with hand-hammered medieval coinage of the Baltic region. |
