Beschrijving voorzijde Central field occupied by a bilobate, butterfly-shaped shield divided vertically by a plain cross whose arms extend to the shield's edges; the dexter half of the shield is rendered in crosshatching to indicate tincture, while the sinister half remains plain. The shield outline is boldly raised and exhibits the characteristic irregular, bumpy contour diagnostic of this Livonian Pfennig series. The type is struck on a thin, irregularly shaped flan in the crude hammered tradition of early sixteenth-century Baltic minor coinage. No legend, inscription, or border is present.

Beschrijving keerzijde Central field features a bilobate, butterfly-shaped shield of identical form to the obverse, charged with a stylized tree rising from the base, representing the civic arms of Riga. Superimposed over the shield is a composite ecclesiastical emblem comprising a patriarchal cross and a crosier, their shafts crossing at the centre, denoting the joint authority of the Archbishop and the Livonian Order. The overall composition thus unites the heraldic devices of the city of Riga, the archbishopric, and the Livonian Order in a single compact design. Execution is in the characteristically crude, bracteate-influenced hammered style of early sixteenth-century Livonian coinage. No legend, inscription, or peripheral border is present.
