| Obverse description | Central field displays a stylized Palatinate lion passant set within a beaded or plain inner circle, rendered in the crude, bold relief characteristic of mid-15th century hammered bracteate-style pfennigs. The flan is irregular and roughly square in outline, exhibiting the uneven edges typical of hand-cut medieval planchets. The design is deeply struck, with the lion motif filling the available field. No legend is present on this side. The surface retains a dark patina consistent with the 'Schwarzpfennig' designation. |

| Reverse description | Within a plain inner circle set against a square flan, the Gothic letters 'AM' are rendered in bold Gothic minuscule script, occupying the central field. The monogram-style lettering is deeply struck and clearly legible despite the irregularity of the hammered planchet. The surrounding field is plain, with no additional legends or ornamental elements. The flan edges are characteristically ragged and uneven, as expected of a hand-struck pfennig of this period. The overall execution is consistent with the modest production standards of small-denomination regional coinage of the mid-15th century Palatinate. |
