| Beschrijving voorzijde | Central shield bearing the Bavarian lozengy arms (fusilly in bend), rendered in a bold, angular style characteristic of late medieval hammered coinage. The shield is enclosed within a beaded inner circle, with the initials R and S positioned to the left and right of the shield respectively, denoting Rupert (Ruprecht) and Sulzbach. The overall design is confined to the obverse face, with the flan exhibiting the irregular contour typical of hand-struck medieval pfennigs. |
