Obverse description Central field dominated by a large multi-pointed star or starburst motif, rendered in relief against a plain field. The points of the star are sharply defined, with smaller decorative elements visible between the rays. The overall design is characteristic of the bracteate-influenced Austrian pfennig coinage of the mid-thirteenth century. The flan is irregularly shaped, consistent with hand-hammered medieval production. No legible inscription is present on this side.
