Obverse description Central field displays a heraldic shield set on a lozenge or diamond-shaped frame, bearing the arms of the Palatinate-Mosbach-Neumarkt line. The device is rendered in a bold, somewhat crude hammered style characteristic of mid-15th-century German bracteate-influenced pfennigs. The flan is irregular and slightly concave, with a roughly polygonal outline resulting from hand-cutting. Surface wear and die weakness are evident, consistent with circulation use and the limitations of the hammered technique.

Reverse description Central field features the letters 'AM' in bold Gothic blackletter (Fraktur) script, enclosed within a raised circular inner border. The monogram serves as a mint mark for Amberg, the issuing mint. The surrounding field is plain and lightly textured from the hammering process. The flan edge is irregular, typical of hand-struck medieval issues of this period and region.
